
Katherine Raup O’Connell, is a graduate of Wittenberg University, B.A. English, cum laude, 1979, and The Ohio State University College of Law, J.D., 1984.
Ms. O’Connell has practiced law for 20 years. From 1984 to 1987, she was an associate in the Columbus office of Peck, Shaffer & Williams, a Cincinnati law firm specializing in tax-exempt finance. From 1988 to 1991, she was an associate at the Toledo law firm Cooper & Walinski. In 1991 she became a founding partner of the Toledo firm Stockwell & Cooperman, where she is presently Of Counsel. Her practice areas include real estate, general business and corporate law.
She has been an active member of the Toledo Bar Association, Real Estate Committee, serving as Secretary from 1993-1994, and is presently a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Real Estate and Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Sections. Formerly, she was a member of the Ohio Division of Securities, Registration and Exemption Advisory Committee and of the American Bar Association.
Since 1997, Ms. O’Connell has been a member of the Ottawa Hills Planning and Zoning Commission. She was a Trustee of the Girl Scout Council of Maumee Valley from 1992 to 2002, serving as Treasurer from 1995-1996.
