Brian Goodell

Brian Goodell is a magistrate with the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division. He has been employed at the court as a judicial hearing officer since 1986.

Magistrate Goodell is a frequent presenter of continuing legal education programs in the areas of evidence, constitutional law, juvenile law, and legal and judicial ethics. He has developed an expertise in the law of hearsay and teaches this subject often.

Magistrate Goodell has taught seminars for numerous statewide legal organizations, including the Ohio Judicial College, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Common Pleas Court Judges, and the Ohio Association of Appellate Court Judges.

He is a past-chairperson for the Juvenile Law Committee for the Ohio Association of Magistrates and has also served as a writer for the publication "Ohio Lawyers Weekly."
