Schedules
Application materials
have been forwarded to participating employers, and we are now
waiting for them to make their interview selections. We
require employers to provide us an interview list at least 72 hours
in advance of their on campus interview date, and many employers
provide the list earlier. All applicants will receive an
e-mail at their utoledo.edu e-mail address as soon as we receive the
interview schedule from the employer.

Law Intern Program
The Summer Law Intern
Program (SLIP) is the Department's competitive recruitment program
for compensated summer internships. Selection for employment is
based on many elements of a candidate's background including
academic achievement, law review or moot court experience, legal aid
and clinical experience, and summer or part-time legal employment.
The Department also considers specialized academic studies
(including undergraduate and post-graduate degrees), work
experience, and extracurricular activities that directly relate to
the work of the Department.

Alumni Mock Interview Program scheduled for Thursday, August 14th,
2008 at the College of Law. All students are
invited to participate, whether or not you intend to take part in
fall recruitment.

Needed for Spouses/Partners Panel during Orientation:
We are looking for
students and their spouses/partners to be a part of a panel
discussion on Wednesday, August 20th at 8:30 p.m.(during
orientation) to talk about balancing the demands of family and law
school. The panel will speak to a select group of entering law
students interested in the topic. Please e-mail Jessica (jessica.mehl@utoledo.edu)
if you are interested in participating, or would like more
information.

This
Week’s “Hot Job”:
Law student needed to
serve as a runner for the law firm of Dixon & Hayes. The duties
include going downtown to the various courts two days a week to file
pleadings, going to the Government Center to record deeds and
going to the Health Department to obtain death and birth
certificates. The pay is $10.00 per hour plus mileage costs. Anyone
interested can contact Jill Hayes at 419-536-8600 or email at

August 11th.
