Students should apply directly to the individual Justices. Applications materials should include a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample. Applications are accepted all year long, but it is preferable that applicants begin the process during their second year of law school for a position upon graduation. The clerkship runs from one to two years, beginning in the summer following the third year.
