Join us for this free seminar that all engineers and lawyers will want to attend. Legal smarts for today’s inventor: the IP basics of trade secrets, trademarks, patents and copyrights. The do’s and don’ts of recordkeeping, disclosures, patent counsel, understanding prior art and what the invention truly is, who’s an inventor and why it’s important, and why you shouldn’t include the boss.

You can now nominate on-line!

Alumni Awards are presented each spring at the Annual Meeting of the Members. Alumni Awards have now been expanded to recognize a broad range of accomplishment. You can nominate a classmate, professor or fellow alum anytime throughout the year. Nominating before February ensures that your nomination is considered for awards announced later in the spring.

Award Categories are:

O.N.E. Award (Outstanding New Exemplar): 1 award annually, UT Law alum graduating within last 10 years; Demonstrates interest in remaining connected with the College of Law; Shows Leadership in his/her community; Consistently demonstrates professional integrity.

Commitment Award: 1 award annually, UT Law graduate; Demonstrates commitment to the underserved above and beyond his/her position or job; Consistently demonstrates professional integrity.

Distinguished Alumna/Alumnus (within Ohio/beyond Ohio): award each annually, UT Law graduate; Has demonstrated distinction in professional life.
