Mr. Kass is a shareholder with the law firm of Polsinelli Shughart.  He has more than twelve years of experience representing clients in many areas of law.

Mr. Kass focuses his practice in trademark, copyright and patent litigation, as well as technology law, business and commercial litigation, broker-dealer arbitration and business planning matters. His practice also focuses on contract issues, software licensing, Internet domain name disputes, and related areas of law. He is experienced handling preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders, jury and non jury trials, disputes before the Patent & Trademark Office, and he has participated in securing multiple intellectual property victories in federal court. He also advises companies on various business planning issues, and he is general counsel to several companies.

Mr. Kass is the author of numerous articles, and he has given many presentations to businesses and lawyers, on a wide range of IP, litigation, and business related topics. He also is an adjunct law professor teaching IP litigation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the St. Louis County Economic Council Enterprise Centers, among many other commitments to professional and community service.

Mr. Kass is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois and before the U.S. Court of Appeals, 7th and 8th Circuits, U.S. District Courts of Missouri, in both the Eastern and Western Districts, U.S. District Courts of Illinois, Central, Northern and Southern Districts, U.S. District Court of Colorado, and the U.S. Tax Court. He also has practiced before multiple other federal courts nationwide.

Mr. Kass has been a speaker on business and technology law issues for the St. Louis Economic Council on multiple occasions. From 1999 to the present, he spoke at various presentations relating to the Internet, technology and intellectual property.
