Before entering academia, Professor McCuskey practiced law with Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in Philadelphia, where she litigated antitrust, appellate, and attorney-general fraud cases for a range of health care industry clients. While at Drinker, she also had the opportunity to litigate First Amendment issues in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and Hague Convention proceedings. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Professor McCuskey earned her law and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, McCuskey was a Legal Writing Instructor and member of the Journal of Constitutional Law. She managed a public benefits clinic with Philadelphia Legal Assistance and interned with Chief Judge David Faber on the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
